What were the factors behind the Negroidization of Lawn tennis?
I remember watching tennis not so long ago and there were no black players. All of a sudden there are a whole lot of them. I am watching the match with Andy Murry and looking at his opponent he looks black and that got me thinking.
Do they get scolarships to play tennis now?

Ever heard of Althea Gibson? Arthur Ashe maybe? Tennis has always been a sport of diversity. Please check the history and facts. The difference today is that the MEDIA is less hampered by racism and prejudice so that these players are more visible. This effects the up and coming generation of tennis player who have players that they can look at and want to emulate in ANY race.
You ARE a little racist aren't you!
If my memory is correct, one of the pioneers of the coloured success in Tennis was one Yvonne Goolagong. Such was the elitist prejudice of the day, her colour was of as much note as her success!
Most countries, today, no longer operate elitist racist restrictions on ethnic membership and competition in Tennis. It is, actually, universally illegal and so it should be.
The rest of it is straightforward talent and application.
I know you're just doing this to get a reaction…but I'd be scared if anyone on here agreed with you though :S. Those people do exist, unfortunately.
