Is baseball the best sport to watch live?
We all love baseball, but is it the best sport to watch live, or is basketball, football or hockey best. I tend to love hockey live better that baseball, but love all sports live - except basketball.

Hockey is by far the best live sport. The speed and beauty of the game is lost on television. To see a game live is like day and night compared to television.
College and pro football are next. Go to Notre Dame. It is an unreal experience. A touchdown is just more exciting live.
Basketball sucks. Period.
Baseball is a great live game, but unless the game is a playoff game or such, it can be boring. I have never went to a boring hockey or football game. Baseball has down moments.
I'm not really sure… They all have the charms… some of it depends on where your seats are too… Some of the small college basketball games are fun for me… front row stuff
Rubi says:
Football fan all the way! weather its live or on TV
Absomutely not. The irish game of hurling is.
whatever makes your day, whatever makes you sway, whatever you say.
baseball is boring as hell to watch. i have played my entire life and i enjoy playing but watching is murder. 15 minutes of action packed into 3 and a half hours….
Personally, I like baseball best live, but, then again, I like baseball best, period.
While I LOVE baseball, the best sport to watch live (IMO) is hockey.
As the last answerer said, Irish hurling is INCREDIBLE, but I've never gotten the chance to see it live.
.
I love baseball. It's my life. BUT, I wouldn't say it's the best sport to watch live (for a majority of people.) I think that would be Football. For your money, I think baseball far exceeds it's cost to see a game. But, in terms of action, crowd adrenaline, and that ultimate sports experience….I would say it's Football.
I think baseball or basketball is the best to watch live (like there in person, not just on tv you mean right?). Because that way you can at least focus more on where the ball is in basketball, and of course baseball is slower moving so that's easier to follow in person. Hockey I've only been to one game and I'm not a huge fan of but I guess it's not too hard to follow. Football I'm fine with sitting at home watching. Because unless you get really close seats (which isn't cheap), it's hard to follow and enjoy.
While i personally think baseball is the best sport to watch live, watch on TV, listen to on the radio, read about, talk about or think about, I will give Hockey credit for being an incredible sport to see live. But hockey on TV is terrible to me. At least live you can get a better idea of what gifted athletes hockey players are - fast on skates, they hit pretty darn hard, and the puck is moving at amazing speeds - things that are great to see live, but just don;t translate well onto TV.
Baseball is the best sport. But Hockey come close and you really have to see the live game to totally understand it. Baseball you can actually watch on TV and not miss much
When you say live, do you mean in person, in a stadium seat, with all the commotion, excitement, buzz, and atmosphere around you?
Then the answer is yes, baseball is the best sport to watch live.
uhh baseball IS a good sport to watch…depending on how much you like it and which teams are playing. i like watching it but it doesnt have enough action. at times you DO get some great action but its mostly pitch swing pitch swing. ya know? football has alot more action in it so i think its more entertaining to watch. but i still like baseball.
Its between baseball and football!
Since I follow baseball more closely than other sports, I'd probably have to lean more towards it. I love the environment at a good football game, though.
Best is a subjective word.
I like watching baseball live much more than watching on tv.
But hockey is the most exciting from start to finish to watch.
Baseball is my favorite sport, so I have to say yes, its the best sport live, because a good portion of the seats have a chance at either a foul or homerun ball. Taking home a souvenir like that is the best!
But, hockey is a close second, you can't take your eyes off the action or you'll miss a goal.
I do like football and basketball too, but unless you have good seats, its better on TV. But, if you go to a college game, the energy and the band make it exciting.
