Is baseball fun to watch on tv?
I'm from England i might take interest in watching baseball as ive heard its got a lot of hype in the US?

Why are we bashing baseball and football?!!! We, as Americans, are so lucky to have BOTH! We have the three greatest sports in the world, and the best league (by far) in all three of those sports. The best baseball, basketball and football players on the planet WANT to come play in MLB, NBA and NFL. Sometimes, older, washed up players choose to sit at the end of a bench all year or even toil in the minors trying to get a spot on a bench over returning home with their families halfway around the globe! Let’s appreciate what we have and not bash our own sports, huh?
I mean, imagine this scenario: You turn on SportsCenter, and they lead off with soccer, followed by more soccer. You open the paper and the lead story on a soccer game, as is the secondary story. You tune into the radio and they’re talking about soccer. Sometimes, I have a nightmare where I’m in this setting, then I’ll wake up in a cold sweat, take a deep breathe and thank my lucky stars that it was just a dream.
But then I realize that what I described IS THE REALITY for a majority of the WORLD!!! In fact, it’s a reality for the person who asked this question! So, please, be thankful that you have NY strip steak and lobster and prime rib (baseball, basketball and football) while the rest of the world is munching on stale bread (soccer), and stop quarreling over it!
Anyway, back to the question: Yes, baseball is fun to watch on TV. Major League Baseball doesn’t bring in over $1 billion in TV revenues each year because people don’t enjoy watching them. It would be worth your time to start watching. It won’t be long before you start finding soccer boring. That’s what happens to our young boys. They play soccer as kids, but those who develop into better athletes upgrade to baseball, basketball or football after puberty. Once they discover how primitive soccer is, they’ll take up a different sport, find it more enjoyable and then get bored with soccer permanently.
I hate to watch baseball! MOST Americans hate baseball to.

Contrary to popular belief Baseball is NOT Americas favorite sport. The SUPER BOWL always gets the highest tv ratings not the World Series(who only includes teams from North America. how is it the WORLD series?)

well baseball is the American pass time um football is gay. baseball is American. football can be played by anyone fit and strong with normal reflexes. the guy above me is an idiot. going to a baseball then going to a football game will make u disappointed. its called world series b.c. its the biggest baseball game in the world and Henry we do not have the 3 best we have 4 out of 5 of the greatest sports nationwide
Yes. TV gives you commentary, statistics, opinion (and on the down side commercials like you wouldn’t believe). If you’re learning baseball, TV is the ticket as you can learn from all the information shot at you.
listen. i love baseball, its my favorite sport. only once in a while i can sit down and watch a whole 3 hour game on tv. i love going to the stadium and watching it live-that’s a lot better!

You should try watching its interesting because they can strike out when they he could have hit a single and win but he didnt
It can also be kinda epic because it could be for the world series and it is 3-2 and if he throws a ball he walks and they win if he strikes out they loose
And it does get lots of hype because of the talented players hitting homeruns and the when they throw the ball to base to try to get them out and the person at base is far away
Yes, baseball is great to watch whether it be live at the game or home watching it on TV. Baseball is our national past times, just like football (soccer) is in England.
Yes! I love watching it on tv. I obviously can’t afford to go to every game at the stadium, so watching it on tv is fine with me. Also when you watch on tv it provides you with stats and commentary which is sometimes helpful.

I LOVE to watch baseball on TV! I order the ‘MLB Extra Innings’ package from my cable company each year, that lets me get about 40 out of market games a week!!
If you are able to sit down and watch a soccer match on tv from start to finish, then you can probably do the same for 9 innings of baseball.

watching baseball is an aquired taste. it takes a knowledge of the game, because of all the pauses. having a knowledge can keep you entertained because during the pauses between pitches you can anticipate what’s gonna come next, or form your own opinion of what should happen next.
