Like i really like watching it but I tend to get confused whats going on with the teams an the stages and the peletons an stuff

i just started getting interested in cycling watching the tour de france, its a great sport to watch, the only problem is i am extremely confused. i thought it was an individual sport and they are on teams, how can you be on a team and how do they help each-other out. how do you win? whats with the diferent color jerseys? whats with the peloton and chase 1 2 etc i really want to know wats going on it seems very complicated?

While I finished watching the TDF on Versus. I bumped into this show called Fanarchy. The debate was "Is the Tour de France the toughest sport?". It may not be the #1 toughest sport, but it ranks up there.
Other people didn't seem to think so.

Don't get me wrong, MMA fighting is tough. I'll admit it, I wouldn't last 2 minutes in the ring. And I bet a Pro MMA fighter wouldn't last an hour in the mountains. But this kid and the other Fanarchy people don't seem to recognize how tough the sport really is. I just find that amusing.

Watching the stages, the crowd sometimes seems to get a little to close for comfort, especially the ones who run along the riders and yell, do the riders get annoyed by that?

I've been watching the Tour de France on TV for years, and several teams have support vehicles we don't get in the US. The one that caught my eye is the Skoda. I remember these were products of a Soviet block country (Poland?) back in the 50s and 60s.
Where are they made, what model am I seeing in the race, and what are the specs?

What would be a good site/s to watch the Tour de France live this year?

I like to watch the tour on tv however i rarely have a few hours to dedicate to watching tv. just wondering if there were some way to watch the coverage online for free so i can have it on at work. thanks.

I watched the Tour de France and all the competitors seem super skinny. I am looking to bulk up. I love long distance biking but will it keep me from bulking up? Please and Thank you.

Then I realize I am hungry, so I bike over to a nearby bistro, Les Mascareignes. I order a Boudin antillais and a banana tatin for dessert. The tatin is heavenly and I leave a nice tip on the table for the waiter. Then I continue exploring. I peek into the Musée des Augustins, but its the Cité de l'espace, a theme park of space exploration, that is really interesting. There are full scale models of the Ariane 5 and the Mir space station. I pop into the IMAX theater to watch Space Station 3D, a fascinating film on how space stations function.

I quickly hurry into the next train when I see how much time has gone by. By now, I'm completely exhausted, and I fall asleep as soon as my head hits the back of my seat.

My train is stopping. I'm in Lyons, home of the professional football team, Olympique Lyonnais! It's a nice day, if a little bit cloudy. I rent a bike again and sightsee in the Fourvière area, passing the Notre-Dame de Fourvière basilica, the palace of the Archbishop, and the Tour métallique. It's around 3 in the afternoon now, so I return to the Place Bellecour, the third largest public square in France. I take a picture with the statue of Louis XIV in the middle of the plaza, and then I continue on my way.

I watched this film over a year ago on Turner Classic Movies, real late at night. It was a French film I believe to have been made sometime in the 70s. The film dealt with a younger male exploring his sexuality.

Some of the things I remember from the film was that the boy lost his virginity to a prostitute after his school friends took him to a brothel. The boy also had a strange sexual relationship with his mother. It might've been his step-mother I'm not sure. Also the boy was a big fan of the Tour De France. He listened about the bicylce races on a radio.

I know this isn't very detailed, but if anyone knows the name of the film I'm referring to I'd be greatly appreciative.

There is a four story duplex.

A blind man lives on the first floor, A card player lives on the second floor and a Biker lives on a third floor and on the fourth floor lives a women who always takes showers. One day she heard a knock on the door and she got out of the shower and wrapped around the towel and answered the door. IT was the card player. He said ,"Congratulate me I won a game of poker". A few days later she heard another knock on the door. She wrapped a towel around herself and she answered the door. It was the bike racer and he said, congratulate me, I won the tour de France. The next day she got another knock on her door. She assumed it would be the clind man so she didn't wrap the towel around herself. She answered the door and it indeed was the blind man and he said, "congratulate me, I got my eyesight back!!!!

There was a man who was watching TV when he heard his wife walk in. He called her and said, "Can i please have a beer before it starts?" She went and brought him a beer. He drank it up quickly and asked again, "Can i please have a beer before it starts?" HE drank it and once again he asked "Can i please have another beer before it starts?"
And his wife said, "WHY DO U DRINK SO MUCH BEER!? YOUR GONNA GET DRUNK! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?" And the husband calmly replied, "it started"

It also says the most televised watched in 6 years. 6 years ago was the Wings vs. Carolina.
Nips- The NBA could be looking at a Celtics/Lakers match up. That is a match up with golden ratings written all over it. I have lost all interest in the sport of basketball, wont bother looking for it on T.V.
Joe- I got my money on the West I'm pulling for the Spurs. Celts also went to game 7 against the Cavs. And will also go to game 7 against Detroit. I hope all the big free agent signing in the beginning of the season fails.

a few years ago, i watched an animated film, maybe a short film. i think it was silent, i forget. the animation was really good. i forget the title of the film, but i remember the plot. there was an old woman training a young man, maybe her grandson, for the tour de france(or maybe another bike race). i think they were in europe. then the man was kidnapped. and the old lady went to go find him, and met 3 tall, odd ladies who cooked her frogs. they eventually find the man(who bikes). so anyone know the title of the animated maybe silent/short film?

Well if anyone watches overdrive in the first episode shinozaki is in the Tour de France and it doesnt even come close to ending near there . Will there be another season?
