it's a serious question actually. I just can't imagine watching a footie match and hearing people saying stuff like that. "Jolly good show, Stevie, you managed to outwit the goalie there". We'd just say, GOAL!!!!!!!!!
and it lasts for about 11 days (with tea breaks of course)
actually you need to understand the rules of football to really enjoy the game.

I think what i am trying to say is, that i miss the banter, the build up, the heart ache and the joy that the sport brings.

From saturday/sunday morning, right through to the final whistle, the pub atmospheres', the football bets, the wife moaning if we lose,because she knows that i won't be speaking to anyone until monday morning type of scenario.

I think the life cycle is all backwards.

You should start out dead; just get it right out of the way.

You get kicked out of there for being too healthy, go collect your pension, then, when you start work, you get a gold watch on your first day.
