Hi, i know nothing about tennis so have a few questions to ask that im hoping someone can help me with.

1. What are 'seeds' in tennis?
2. What is an ace?
3. What is a breakpoint?
4. How come sometimes when a player hits the ball out of the sidelines the other player hits it back and play continues as normal but yet other times when it happens, 'out' is shouted before the player has chance to hit it back?
5. Do they have referees in tennis or are they called something else? Adjudicator perhaps?
6. What does it mean when you are watching a game and 'winners' comes up on screen followed by (for example):
Bob Smith 9
John Jones 11 ?
Thanks for the help so far but i think 2 of my questions are being misunderstood.

First of all, i do not mean the world ranking, i mean like in the middle of a game sometimes it tells you the unforced errors for example and other times it says 'winners' followed by the players and numbers.

And for the other question, im not talking about when the ball is slightly off the line, im talking about waaay past the sideline, sometimes they just hit it back and other times they are not allowed because the umpire shouts 'out'

I personally like terrorism better. Not enough people die in football. And the scoring celebrations are better.

I'm looking for a new freeview box, one that records. I only want one that uses a hard drive and not a dvd combi, i have a feeling they are more expensive. It's going to be in my bedroom so i don't really want it to be too loud.

I would like a decent bit of memory about 160gig? that fair? oh and a twin tuner i think (watch one, record another). Also a nice quick interface would be great, like one that i can cycle through the channels while still watching the program, and another more detailed tv guide. I think they are the main things im looking for. Oh also TV link and the HD up scaling thing would be a bonus!

I would like one for less than £100, but i could be persuaded to go a little higher thanks!

My mother purchased a JVC GR-D370U digital video camera that records onto mini digital cassettes. She has watched the videos playback via av plugs to the television but is wishing to upload video to her pc. She can connect the usb plug to the pc and capture the still images saved to the memory card, but she is unable to capture or even locate the digital video. I've searched on the jvc site and found a dv (digital video) cable. I assume this may be needed to transfer the video. Can someone out there help us out? Thanks a bunch.

The double file restarts have added a little drama to an otherwise boring sport, but at the end of the day The Francis still dictate what they percieve Nascar as being and the direction they want it to go. I am a die hard from ABC's Wide World of Sports and hate to say it but I no longer can watch a sport go from its Hayday to the badmitten catagory. Am I out of line here?

I have a Hauppauge WinTV PVR-500 MCE tuner card. I am able to watch and record television from the cable input, and for the most part that is fine.

However, I am having difficulty finding an adequate program that can display and record from the composite video input of the card. I want to connect my Wii and other consoles to it so I can use them on my monitor instead of a television and be able to record gameplay. The ones I've used so far either look good and have sound but there's a lag of a matter of seconds, have no sound, have low framerate in full screen, or have other various problems.

Am I missing the standard for this? Does anyone know of a good program--preferably free, but I'm willing to pay--that displays input with good quality and with sound and with no lag? Do I need a Divx codec to record video in reasonable size?

I need to find the channel, it's a soccer game in which Mexico is playing so it should be in spanish, help? Oh I have comcast if that helps.
